Our sweet Aubrey turned 1 on September 8th.  It was also the first North Texas football game!  We had a busy day!
Can't believe Aubrey is so big- she weighs 20 lbs and is 31 inches tall!  She's so precious and smart!  We are so blessed to have her!

Moving

We've been busy the past few months....our world has been a whirlwind of changes.  While we were at the beach, North Texas called Derek about a new job and within a month, we were moving.  Our house is for sale in San Marcos and we are now living in Denton.  Derek has a great new job and I love my new teaching position in Keller.  We are so thankful for this new chapter in our lives but are ready to sell our house!  In the meantime, we're living in a 1 bedroom apartment with our 2 dogs- close quarters! 

Beach

We made it to the beach for a few days and had a great time.  Aubrey LOVED it!  She loved the sand and water.  I really didn't know what to expect, but she did great despite cutting a mouth full of teeth! 

10 months old

Our sweet girl turned 10 months old today!  Time is flying by- before we know it, she'll be 1. 

*I can't believe how big she is.  She probably weighs close to 21 pounds.  She has long legs and big feet- wearing a 3 or 4! 

*We found 2 more teeth cutting through the morning- that's a grand total of 5 teeth! 

*She loves her voice!  She talks to anyone who will listen.  

*She has started eating table food finally.  I thought we were going to be eating stage 2 food forever!   We've been trying everything and so far so good!  She'll try anything.  She likes bananas, scrambled eggs, fresh peaches, cooked carrots, peas, potatoes, green beans, mac n cheese, hamburger meat....Yesterday, we had Quinzo's for lunch and she loved my roast beef sandwich! 

*We're still working on the sippie cup- I'm sure she'll catch on soon, but she still loves her bottle.  

*She is moving everywhere and is even taking a step or 2 on her own- she realizes what she's doing and falls down immediately! 

*Her hair is starting to really come in and so blond!

* She loves our puppies- espcially Isbell.  Isbell lets her do pretty much anything to her.  Aubrey is constantly pulling and tugging on her but in exchange, Isbell gets Aubrey's leftovers on the floor!   Petty loves her too but she makes him nervous! 

*We took her to the Riverwalk for the first time last weekend!  It will be much better once she's a little older.  It was hard gettting around with a stroller but we managed! 

9 months old

 Aubrey turns 9 months old tomorrow- June 8th!  We're going to get shots- boo.   She has grown so much and is trying so hard to walk!  She LOVES the puppies and follows them everywhere.  Today, she cried when I locked them in the kitchen to eat.  She stood at the gate until I opened it.  She is also a big eater- yogurt, any fruit or vegetable, mac and cheese, chicken and rice. She rarely turns her nose up to anything.  She still is not a fan of the sippie cup, but we're working on it.  She is such a joy and we laugh each day about something she does!

Lately

 Memorial Day!

 The ladies at daycare told me that Aubrey loves to paint, so we bought her some paint for the house!  Not much of a mess- I covered her high chair tray with a trash bag...very easy clean up! 

Then- we took a bath to get the paint off! 

Our sweet girl will be 9 months old on Friday!  I predict that she will weigh at least 20 pounds!  I can't believe how long she is either.  She is growing so fast!
